I see people using plenty of different monetization models on Beehiiv - example, paid feature promotions within posts, using ads support from the platform etc. With medium, you kind of have to put things behind the paywall or not. No in between.
Hmm, ya on the face of it, things may look feature rich. But I am not sure it works that way.
For eg - Medium way of charging user is for entire Medium content & then do the payout in the proportion of engagement each publisher generated vs substack way of each publisher runnings its own subscrption. Substack rise to fame was you are owner of your own money but tbh, it is very hard for a user to subscribe to 10 different publishers paying each of them separately. Medium way works better for end user & hence as publisher I have higher probablity of making some money.
Long gone are the days I looked for features for adoption :). As I said in one of my blog, we always have more money than we need. Same for features. Its is the rightly thought out features that matter. Not the quantity.

You should also look into Beehiiv. It has got amazing tools, but no mobile app though - unless the mobile site works well for you

Blogging + newsletter. It’s the new hype. I tried it and it’s got everything I could think of.
